Choosing another learning method
TEMA distinguishes itself from other programs by its interactive pedagogical methods and lays the stress on practices used on a daily basis in companies, that is to say: teamwork, oral and written communication and conducting projects.
1- “intensive” and “varied “ weeks There are two course formats at TEMA: “intensive” weeks devoted to learning one single subject matter for a week through lectures, case studies and presentations. This makes it possible to put students into total immersion and carry out short term project management. “Varied” weeks offer various management courses shared out over 5 sessions per semester (English, law, finance, information systems, marketing…). This format makes it possible to conduct long term projects. This pedagogical method trains students to conduct projects with time constraints, just like in a company.
2- Synthesis week: At the end of each school year, students participate in a synthesis week which conjugates various disciplines. They work on company issues (in the first year: introduction to general policy, in the second year: finance…)
3- Company oriented teaching Each class is a genuine professional appointment. At TEMA students learn by doing. Professionals from prestigious companies teach the courses, and students are put into real life company situations: producing individual or group files, presenting their ideas orally… This pragmatic approach enables students to master synthetic information research techniques, analysis techniques as well as competences to enhance the oral and written expression of ideas and proposals.
